Summer is upon us, which means it’s the perfect time for some family fun, and there’s plenty to do right here in our own backyard. To help you enjoy the summer and show off your beautiful smile, here are some of our favorite family-friendly activities in the San Anselmo & San Rafael areas.

Civic Center Lagoon Park

This expansive park is perfect for kids and parents alike, and it’s located just off Highway 101. There’s a beautiful lagoon with a regular population of geese, a renovated playground, and plenty of grass and picnic tables to walk around on and eat a picnic lunch. 

China Camp State Park

This one is a bit of a drive, but it’s definitely worth the trip. China Camp State Park is a beautiful stretch of shoreline along the bay that surrounds a historic Chinese-American fishing village and offers plenty of walking and hiking trails, a salt marsh, and beautiful views of the bay.

Comforts

If you’re looking for a sunny lunch spot with organic, incredible food, Comforts is the perfect place for you. They have a sit-down restaurant as well as food for take-out, and both their Chicken Okasan and Chinese Chicken Salad are local legends. It’s the ideal place to satisfy some hungry kids!
